Ray J’s December 2 Instagram video delivered equal parts comedy, candor, and concern as he publicly urged Jay-Z and Beyoncé to acknowledge his sister, R&B legend Brandy, during the Los Angeles dates of The Boy Is Mine Tour. Speaking with his trademark mix of levity and sincerity, the singer addressed what he believes is a repeated oversight by two of music’s most influential figures.
“Yo, at the end of the day, Jay-Z and Beyoncé. Like honestly, bro…” Ray J began, laughing as people around him “ran into the room” because they thought he was “about to talk some shit about Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”
